The Guyana Cultural Association of New York hosts its annual Heritage Awards, honouring individuals who have made extraordinary contributions to Guyanese culture, arts, and community.
Since 2002, these awards have celebrated the creativity and achievement of Guyanese people both in the diaspora and at home. The evening includes cultural performances, a folk symposium exploring the connections between New York and the Caribbean, and a celebration of everything that makes Guyanese culture unique.
